Doing work on the side in addition to your full-time job can be a great way to stash away some extra cash. However, if your day job already keeps you busy, you may not have time or energy to commit to driving for Uber or making food deliveries. With Introducely, the only thing that limits you from making extra money is your network of professional and personal contacts; and you may be surprised at how much each individual contact has to offer. In addition to your network, all you need is an internet connection and a Facebook or LinkedIn account for verification. Better yet, you get 100% of any payment offered for introductions you complete.

In addition to making extra money, there are several other benefits to becoming an Introducer. We spoke to Introducer Filipe Santos about his successes with the platform and he noted that “facilitating the timeliness of offers, deals, and introductions is what Introducely tackles like no one else.” Furthermore, Santos pointed out how platforms like Introducely are critical to the gig economy and the future of work.

“Humans need connection, and introductions facilitate the communication and deal making that’s often needed but seldom simple,” he said. “The variety of results that can come from the platform knows no bounds, and transcends business or industry.”

Building connections with Introducely can be quite rewarding, but today we’ll be focusing on how Santos made $10,383 as an Introducer in 2021.

How Filipe Made Successful Introductions With Introducely

Santos has worked in marketing for fortune 100, 500 and 1000 companies. His previous work experience also includes stints with high-profile companies, such as Shutterstock and Univision. This made his connections to other professionals come naturally, putting him in direct contact with cross-functional teams and leadership for key projects and initiatives.

“I believe just about anyone has the ability to make excellent introductions, but the quality and quantity is enhanced by mindset and exposure to your network,” Santos said.

Teknicks, an internet marketing agency, received introductions to various clients via Santos. His exposure to other marketers in the course of daily work, marketing events, courses, and networking through trusted contacts allowed him to connect Teknicks to clients looking for services in a timely manner. These introductions helped the agency establish a connection that,  in most cases, netted clients. Santos simply provided the matchmaking and Teknicks completed the rest. Nick Chasinov, the company’s founder and CEO, noted his company’s success with consulting Santos as an Introducer.

“The reason he was so successful was that Teknicks needed connections to marketing decision makers and he has a decorated marketing career, so he was the perfect Introducer for us,” he said.

Introducely Isn’t Just for Business Professionals

Santos wanted to help specific people in his network get good recommendations for agencies that could help with digital marketing initiatives. While he may have a high level of professional experience, one may wonder if that is necessary to become an Introducer? Santos doesn’t believe so.

“I think it doesn’t hurt, but there are people with far less experience, smaller networks, and less inclination to network,” Santos said. “You never know how valuable each person you know is to other companies that want to be introduced to them, netting you a benefit from the activity – no matter how small!”

Introducely Makes Introductions Simple

Santos ended up using Introducely to make the process of introductions simpler while simultaneously receiving financial incentives.

“Introducely makes this process easier by facilitating opportunities with the network and timeliness to profit off of beneficial introductions and connections,” Santos said.

Santos also noted how warm introductions and connections to relevant people “build trust, promote sharing, accelerate opportunity, and establish fulfillment.” In contrast, cold calls and social networking can fall short due to the lack of timeliness, specificity and trust.

We’ve surveyed thousands of people to understand why introductions are so critical:

  • 80% of people believe an introduction to the right person will positively affect outcomes.
  • People are twice as likely to find quality service providers through a personal introduction vs. asking for a referral on Facebook.
  • 70% of people believe they will benefit personally, professionally, or socially from an introduction.
  • 74% of sales professionals feel personal introductions provide the highest quality of leads.

Make Over $850 a Month with Introducely

In 2020, Santos made $1,875 from making introductions. So far in 2021, Santos has made $10,383. This averaged to over $850 per month, depending on the billing. The types of introductions he made were varied but the majority were either to directors or vice presidents who were capable of making decisions and managing budgets. However, not all introductions require this same level of leadership or control to broker a connection. According to Santos, all you need to do is, “make sure that opportunities are a great match for contacts in your network, encourage clarity and transparency around the benefits of introductions, and promote honest human communication with every touchpoint in the process.”

Santos had various successes with Introducely but pointed to one introduction with positive results.

“Notable in my mind is a VP that needed an integrated agency to work on promotions and campaigns that started with a simple request for introductions to local agencies,” Santos said “The introduction was a hit from the start — perfect match on both sides, and quick to boot in terms of a deal and nailing down what was needed from the client and servicing the agency’s side as well. The relationship flourished and continued to allow for additional recommendations and lucrative contracts for more and more work to be performed. And it all started with a simple introduction — no heavy lifting, no exageration — just a straightforward match for a client needing a solution, and an agency that could provide the level of service and a solution.”
